Absolutely stunning opal pendant
Set with a beautiful natural white fiery opal
It's a stunning piece and will without doubt be a treasured piece in a vintage jewellery lover's collection.
The pendant isn't marked but tests as 18ct white gold
The bail/hoop at the top has recently been replaced with a hallmarked 9ct bail so this is not original but it is now wearable as it can be attached to a necklace
This is an excellent quality piece
The Diamonds are old cut stones and have a lovely sparkle in the light
The opal has a lot of colour and some white patches as it's a natural stone
Opal is 8 x 5.8mm in size
Diamond content approximately 0.55ct
Condition:
Wearable condition with no weak links or loose stones
Ultrasonically cleaned.
Unfortunately it does have a chip out of the back of it, although this isn't noticeable when wearing it.
To keep the opal as secure as possible there is 12 tiny claws keeping the stone in position which have been very neatly glued by a goldsmith/jeweller using specialist jewellery clear glue.
