From an early age Marcus developed a fascination with antiques and collectables, often travelling the country with his parents to visit antique markets and fairs. It was there he began absorbing the knowledge and instincts of the trade long before he realised it would one day become his career.

Originally trained as a carpenter, he developed a deep appreciation for skilled workmanship, quality materials and the importance of doing things properly. What began as a hobby soon grew into a passion, and in 2014 he turned that interest into a business, buying antiques alongside his father’s stall at the market in Leek, Staffordshire Moorlands.

Working closely with dealers, collectors and traders gave Marcus invaluable hands-on experience and helped him develop a sharp instinct for authenticity and value. Over the years he continued to build his knowledge under established antique jewellery dealers and watch specialists, eventually leading to the creation of Trentham Jewellery Centre, where the business continues to grow today.

Despite that growth, Marcus remains grounded in the same principles that first drew him to the trade - a genuine appreciation for craftsmanship, a keen eye for quality and a belief that buying fine jewellery should always feel personal, honest and enjoyable.
