An amazing early/mid Victorian chunky faceted belcher bracelet with an incredible oversize heart padlock clasp set with a foiled backed cabochon garnet.
Circa 1870/1880
This piece is not marked but has been professionally tested as solid 9ct gold.
Great quality piece, fantastic looking and hard to find a variation like this.
Amazing faceted chunky links with hand tooled chasing.
The clasp has had an engraved back plate added to cover a mourning hair compartment and this is only loosely soldered on so it would be amazing to add a hinged heart locket back to this and use it as a secret poison/pill holder capsule.
Condition:
Amazing condition with general wear to the back on the clasp. Good strong links, not dented.
Ultrasonically cleaned and professionally re-polished.
