About:
18ct gold intaglio ring.
A good old intaglio ring (possibly bought during the grand tour)
Set with a mixed colour hardstone, believed to be carnelian  ( it has some natural pale colouration to the top)
Carved male bust of what looks like a philosopher or Roman/Greek god, this technique was normally done using a copper wheel by hand.
Marked for "750" (18ct purity gold) and has also been professionally tested to ensure its purity throughout
Ring face is 24mm x 20mm in size.


Condition:
Excellent condition, some very small dots on the shank where it has been resized at some point.
Ultrasonically cleaned and professionally polished.

18ct yellow gold
Hardstone intaglio (Carnelian)
Total ring weight=  11.95 grams


Size:
UK ring size=  O + 1/2 
EU ring size= 55.5
USA ring size= 7.25

Most rings can be made larger or smaller by your local goldsmith or jewellers.
