Antique 22ct Gold Carnelian Hardstone Philosopher Intaglio Seal Signet Ring
A good old intaglio ring, possibly bought during the grand tour, the shank dates to 1927 but the intaglio may be older than this.
Set with a hardstone red carnelian
Carved male and female bust, could be a philosopher or Greek god/goddess.
This technique was normally done using a copper wheel by hand to carve the intaglio.
Fully hallmarked for solid 22ct gold in Chester 1927
Ring face is 24mm x 20mm in size.


Condition:
Excellent condition
Ultrasonically cleaned and professionally polished.

22ct yellow gold
Carnelian Hardstone intaglio
Weight=  15.2 grams


Size:
UK ring size=  O + 1/2  
EU ring size= 55.5
USA ring size= 7.25

Most rings can be made larger or smaller by your local goldsmith or jewellers.
