This is know as Operculum shell
Stamped for "9ct" and it has also been professionally tested to ensure its purity throughout as solid 9ct gold
The shells are all different in size, 20mm wide to 26mm wide/diameter.
There is a fitted safety chain which allows it to be fitted over the wrist before securing with the cleverly made concealed tongue catch/fastener which is strong and works well.

 

Condition:
Ultrasonically cleaned and professionally polished.
Excellent condition overall considering its age
The shell has some shaling but overall good and strong.
