This is a truly amazing piece
Believed to be found in Australia in the mid/late 20th century, this was mounted in Australia in an 18ct yellow gold diamond mount with a box link chain before being bought over into the UK.
The opal has a lot of colours as seen in the video when the sun hits it at different angles
The opal measures 18.2 x 13mm in size across the front.
The opal is calculated as a minimum circa 6 carats in weight
Surrounding the opal is 26 x quality natural brilliant round cut diamonds calculated as circa 0.65ct in total
Condition:
Excellent condition
The opal has an internal flaw/inclusion but not surface reaching.
Ultrasonically cleaned
Materials:
18ct yellow gold mount and chain (Not marked as hand made but professionally tested as such using our XRF tester)
Total weight= 8.7 grams
Size:
Chain= 16 inches ( 41cm)
Pendant= 24 x 18mm ( excluding bail)
