A beautiful victorian mourning pendant made from solid 18ct yellow gold
Circa 1860s
Adorned with a band of white enamel around the edge ( sadly some of this has been lost)
The front is set with a cluster of deep purple rub over bezel set cabochon amethysts in a grape bunching
Thr rear has an enclosed hand cut domed glass compartment ( sealed) with victorian plaited hair.
The pendant is sealed and can't be opened although the edge has opened slightly where there is a small gap ( as pictured )
18ct yellow gold ( marked on the bail but worn out, so also professionally tested as such)
Condition:
Good for its age, but damage to the enamel, the side of the pendant has a dent and an opening to the gold seam. ( however it is circa 160 years old)
Ultrasonically cleaned and professionally polished.
