Beautiful original victorian 18ct yellow gold diamond and emerald navette marquise shape ring.
A stunning looking early piece from the mid victorian era
This ring catches the light beautifully with the sparkling old cut diamonds 
Not marked but is an early piece, circa 1850s. 
Set with the original deep transparent green 6 x 4.4mm emerald cut faceted natural emerald ( slightly trapeziod in shape)
Adorned by 20 x well matched old cut diamonds.
Around 1.2ct diamond weight as they are deep stones
All the gemstones are securely set by individual claws in a pavé setting.
A beautiful piece with all original stones 
It has a tooled/banded shank with ridges which is typical of the period.
Diamonds are all varieties of colours which is expected but looks amazing when worn as it's so authentic and noticeable unlike reproduction rings often seen today which are too perfect 
Condition:
Amazing condition for its age with no damage to the gold.
The emerald has had plenty of wear and is noticeable if looking closely although it's not split or cracked.
The ring shank is of good thickness and is not weak or worn thin like some rings, it has been made slightly smaller at some point.
