Early Victorian French 18ct yellow gold coiled snake ring.
Possibly even late Georgian but very difficult to date.
The snake head is set with a dark oval shaped garnet.
French 'eagle' Hallmark on the outside of the band.
Condition:
The ring has a repair mark on the back of the shank.
It looks like an old repair however, it has caused some discoloration to the gold making it look slightly more pink in colour. This discolouration isn't actually obviously in normal daylight (The bright LED light within my photo’s make it look more noticeable)
Condition is okay considering its age, fully wearable but the band is thin/worn
Ultrasonically cleaned and professionally re-polished
