A rather attractive vintage green serpentine hardstone sterling silver necklace.
An unusual necklace but very noticeable and top quality, hallmarked for Birmingham 1964.
Set with graduated size cabochon stones in hand made bezel set links
A good weighty piece and the serpentine is we'll colour matched and presumed to be cut from the same crystal.
Condition:
Amazing condition and no damage, very well made and sturdy, there is some epoxy residue at the back of the settings to secure the stones forever.
Replacement but very strong lobster trigger clasp
Cleaned and lightly polished with light silver patination.
Materials:
Fully hallmarked for solid sterling silver ( stamped on every link)
Total weight= 42.8 grams
Size:
Length= 17 inches ( 42cm)
Link width= between 9mm wide at the ends where smaller, graduating up to 12mm wide x 16mm across
